Seoul Central District Court Civil Judge Lee Geon-hee ruled in favor of IU on the 18th in a damages claim lawsuit against individual A, ordering individual A to pay IU 30 million won.

In May of last year, individual A filed a complaint with the police, alleging that IU plagiarized six songs, including 'The Red Shoes,' 'Good Day,' 'BBIBBI,' 'The Story Only I Didn't Know,' 'Boo,' and 'Celebrity,' thus violating copyright law.

However, in August of the same year, the police dismissed the complaint, stating that the allegations did not constitute a crime.

In response, IU's team filed a damages lawsuit against individual A for defamation, infringement of personal rights, and false accusations.

It was reported that individual A remained unresponsive during the trial, prompting the court to proceed with public notification procedures.

Besides individual A, IU's team has taken legal action against others who posted malicious comments online, raising baseless plagiarism accusations, with some receiving penalties such as fines.
