Song Minho, a member of the group Winner, who is serving as a social service agent, is embroiled in allegations of manipulation of attendance records as he approaches the completion of his service.
On the 17th, Dispatch reported that Song Minho, who is serving at the Mapo Community Service Facility, had been visited 10 times but was never found, raising suspicions of attendance manipulation.
According to Dispatch, the facility's attendance records are handwritten. This allows for the possibility of falsifying the attendance times or signing in bulk at the discretion of the person in charge.
Previously, the Anti-Corruption & Civil Rights Commission recommended preparing guidelines for the service of public interest agents, advising that attendance be recorded using 'electronic methods' when needed. However, such recommendations were not being followed at Song Minho's workplace.
In response, the Mapo District Office stated, "We are currently investigating the details and will announce our position once confirmed."
Dispatch also reported that Song Minho began his alternate service at the Mapo Facilities Management Corporation on March 24 last year, but after a year, in March this year, he was transferred to the community service facility by 'Community Facility Head' Mr. L.
It was further reported that Mr. L concealed Song Minho's poor attendance by claiming "today is annual leave," "today is sick leave," or "today is hospitalization." Additionally, records such as attendance logs or CCTV were deemed "impossible due to personal information."
Meanwhile, Song Minho enlisted in the Army training center on March 24 last year to receive basic military training and started his alternate service as a social service agent. He is scheduled to complete his service on the 23rd.
