The writer Lee Ji-seong, husband of billiards player Cha Yoo-ram, expressed regret that President Yoon Suk Yeol failed to implement martial law.

Writer Lee posted a video on YouTube with the thumbnail reading, “Yoon Suk Yeol did well. Manly. Cool.”

Lee noted, “Daily life has crumbled due to President Yoon’s martial law situation, and political discussions are ongoing around the clock. It seems we need to address this quickly.” He added, “I aired a broadcast expressing my frustration in the early morning of the day martial law broke out. I thought it best to share my final stance on martial law.”

He further praised martial law as a well-executed measure with a thumbs-up. He stated, “Although it is obvious that South Korea's economy would not be good, it was still well done. President Yoon’s martial law does not violate the law. It is the president’s inherent authority.”

Addressing the opposition party, he asked, “It's wartime because of you guys. South Korea is at war with the pro-North Korea faction. Has there ever been a time when it wasn’t wartime?” He continued, “Didn’t you create this wartime by capturing and impeaching the perfectly fine President Park Geun-hye? Isn’t this a rebellion?”

The writer's position is that the intention of martial law was correct. He said, “President Yoon’s martial law failed, and that's very regretful, but the intention was correct and well done.” He then added, “Of course, there are side effects. Up to 90% of the public can’t fully grasp what President Yoon is speaking about, and that’s unfortunate. More citizens who don't understand the president’s words will emerge. That's why the right wing will collapse.”

He criticized the proclamation to punish medical personnel. The writer said, “There was just one mistake in the proclamation. It should never have been included,” and he added, “Why destroy the remaining elite right-wing group? Other than that, everything was done well.”

Regarding the claim that martial law was declared to protect Kim Gun-hee, Lee stated, “A man should protect his woman. I haven’t criticized Kim Gun-hee much, but I dislike her.” He continued, “Can a president who can’t even protect his wife protect the country? I would do the same. A man should protect his family and woman. That’s a cool guy. From a man’s perspective, well done.”

He said, “It’s just unfortunate that it failed. That was my dream,” and added, “A hero for the salvation of the nation flies by helicopter to the National Assembly, arrests spies colluding with North Korea and China, publicly announces evidence around the world, and rebuilds a free South Korea.”

He also said President Yoon is cool. Lee stated, “If martial law had succeeded, South Korea’s economy and exchange rate might have risen and temporarily failed, but we need to undergo that process for South Korea to ultimately do well.” He added, “This is about South Korea's revival.”
