Lyricist Kim I-na apologized for the Ilganbest (Ilbe) controversy.
On the 9th, Kim I-na said on MBC FM4U's Kim I-na's Starry Night, "Of course, that controversy is not true at all." She denied the Ilbe controversy.
In the past, Kim I-na used words such as 'jwa-jangmyeon,' 'huoguo,' and 'sam-il-han (women should be hit once every three days)' in an internet broadcast chat, which sparked the Ilbe controversy.
On this day, Kim I-na said, "At first, I wanted to say 'where I encountered this and in what context I used it.' I was very taken aback." She continued, "The more I thought about it, the more I realized that what mattered was not that, but the fact that I caused great concern by using such inappropriate words, for which I am truly sorry."
She further emphasized, "From now on, in any situation, I will ensure that such an issue never occurs again." Kim I-na also noted, "Since writing it down didn't seem to convey it well, I wanted to address it here," and added, "Thank you all for being with me today."
Meanwhile, when asked by a netizen about thoughts on martial law, Kim I-na replied, "I have never been on Ilbe. I still don't know if that source is from Ilbe. I am one of the citizens who have been in outrage since the moment martial law was declared."
