Broadcaster Park Soo-hong, who had halted social media (SNS) activity after controversy over a delayed flight departure, resumed work by appearing on a live home shopping broadcast about two weeks later.
According to the broadcasting industry on the 11th, Park Soo-hong personally appeared on L's home shopping live broadcast on the 7th and began selling products.
Earlier, on the 23rd of last month, after boarding a flight to Guam, Park Soo-hong's family told crew they wished to deplane when their young daughter cried, out of concern about disturbing other passengers. As a result, procedures such as offloading checked baggage were carried out.
However, while waiting on board, the child calmed down, and Park Soo-hong withdrew the request to deplane. During this process, additional security procedures and baggage handling followed, delaying the departure by about an hour and sparking what was dubbed a "nuisance controversy."
Afterward, Park Soo-hong posted an apology on SNS, saying, "During the departure process, a delayed departure issue occurred because of my family," and added, "We caused great inconvenience by taking away many people's valuable time, and we also caused harm to airline staff. I bow my head and offer my sincere apology."
Following the controversy, Park Soo-hong and his wife, Kim Da-ye, stopped their previously active SNS activity. They also skipped one installment of their YouTube content, which had been released at a set time each week.
Park Soo-hong then appeared on a live home shopping broadcast on the 7th, resuming broadcasting activities about two weeks after the controversy.
