Singer KCM (birth name Kang Chang-mo, 44) has released photos of his children, long kept private, for the first time.
On the 16th, KCM shared family photos on his social media (SNS), saying, "It took 15 years to get here. Looking back now, I wonder what was so hard," and added, "I'm sorry to my family, who quietly believed in me and stayed with me all that time, and I'm truly grateful." He continued, "We're still clumsy, and our family might make some of you feel a bit uncomfortable, but I would be really grateful if you could look on us generously and with warm hearts," and said, "I won't forget this feeling, and I'll live even harder and more steadfastly going forward."
That day, KCM posted several photos on social media taken with his wife and children. KCM announced his marriage in 2022 to a non-celebrity woman nine years his junior, but he had kept the existence of his children private.
Last year, KCM's agency said, "KCM has an eldest daughter born in 2012 and a second daughter born in 2022," and noted, "After the second daughter was born, it was hard to share the news easily because of the guilt toward the first daughter. He truly feels happy to have formed a complete family now, and for 10 years before registering the marriage, he worked very hard to build a complete home." This year, KCM also welcomed a youngest son, bringing his family to one son and two daughters.
KCM also explained the reason he had kept his wife and children private, saying, "To be honest, I had a lot of debt. I was terrified that once I married, it would become family debt." After revealing that he has children, KCM said, "I feel relieved and overwhelmed," and added, "I will keep living as I do now, more truthful and with a greater sense of responsibility."
