Comedian Lee Jin-ho, who had collapsed from a cerebral hemorrhage, has regained consciousness.
According to the broadcasting industry on the 14th, Lee Jin-ho regained consciousness on the 10th and was moved from the intensive care unit to a general ward. He still needs treatment, but his condition has reportedly improved to the point that he can recognize people around him.
Lee Jin-ho collapsed from a sudden cerebral hemorrhage on the 1st. At the time, Lee was on the phone with Kangin, formerly of the group Super Junior. When the call cut off while speaking with Lee, Kangin called back; after multiple attempts failed to connect, he reported it to 119.
Thanks to Kangin's report, Lee Jin-ho was taken immediately to a hospital in Seoul. After receiving treatment in the intensive care unit, he succeeded in regaining consciousness.
Lee Jin-ho has halted activities over allegations of illegal gambling. He is said to have gambled through an online illegal gambling site and, in the process, to have borrowed about 2 billion won from a lending company and fellow entertainers.
Police referred Lee Jin-ho without detention on illegal gambling charges in mid-last month.
