BTS' fifth studio album "Arirang (ARIRANG)" topped the U.S. Billboard albums chart, the Billboard 200, for the third straight week.
According to a chart preview article posted on Billboard's website on the 12th (local time), "Arirang" again placed No. 1 on the Billboard 200 dated the 18th.
This is the first time a Korean singer's album has held No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for three weeks. Previously, the "K-pop Demon Hunters" OST album took No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for two nonconsecutive weeks.
During the latest tracking period, "Arirang" recorded 124,000 album units week over week. Album units are a combined measure that includes physical and digital album sales, streaming equivalent albums (SEA), which convert streams into album sales, and track equivalent albums (TEA), which convert digital track downloads into album sales.
Physical album sales totaled 71,000, SEA was counted as 50,000, and TEA was 3,000.
Released on the 20th of last month, "Arirang" is an album about BTS' identity and the emotions they face. It includes 14 tracks, including the title song "Swim (SWIM)."
