The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization said on the 31st they will openly recruit 1,000 participants for "five people, five colors taste travel," a trip with celebrities.
The trips are organized into 25 sessions in total, with five themes each week, five times per theme, from the 17th of next month to May 9.
For each theme, a "taste guide" will join the main schedule for one session. Actor Yoo Yeon-seok will accompany the photo trip, and Chef Park Eun-young will join the seasonal food trip.
Participants can taste seasonal foods at traditional markets with the taste guide. They will also learn how to take photos at local attractions. Unique experiences are available, such as enjoying local specialties while running.
They will visit 25 locations, including Geochang in South Gyeongsang, Jecheon in North Chungcheong, Pyeongchang in Gangwon, and Haenam in South Jeolla.
Anyone in the public can participate, and participants will be selected by lottery.
The participation fee is 29,000 won per person. The price includes transportation, experiences, and lunch and dinner.
Applications will be accepted in two rounds on the Travel Month website from the 2nd to the 22nd of next month.
