The Corea Image Communication Institute (CICI, chaired by Choi Jung-hwa) said on the 8th that it selected The Black Label CEO Jung Kyung-in and executive producer Teddy, actor and writer Cha In-pyo, and Samyang Foods Vice Chairman Kim Jung-soo as the winners of the 22nd Corea Image Awards.
The Black Label's CEO Jung Kyung-in and producer Teddy, who will receive the Stepping Stone Award, produced the soundtrack for the animated film "K-pop Demon Hunters," spreading the unique sensibility and artistry of K-pop worldwide. Songs on the soundtrack topped the U.S. Billboard and the U.K. Official Charts, contributing to elevating the global standing of K-content.
Actor and writer Cha In-pyo, who will receive the Flint Award, was credited with showcasing the dignity of Koreans through works that reexamine modern Korean history for the world and through sharing and volunteer activities.
Samyang Foods Vice Chairman Kim Jung-soo, who will receive the Pebble Award, was highly recognized for contributing to the globalization of K-food with "Buldak spicy ramyeon" and for creating the unique content of "K-spicy taste."
Since 2005, CICI has presented the Corea Image Awards annually to widely promote the value of Korea.
