The Korea Arts Management Service (KAMS) said on the 24th that it will roll out various discount and partnership programs to improve access to "From the Renaissance to Impressionism: Special Exhibition of the San Diego Museum of Art."
"From the Renaissance to Impressionism: Special Exhibition of the San Diego Museum of Art" is a curated show where visitors can view 65 masterpieces representing 600 years of Western art history in one place. It opened on the 4th at Sejong Museum of Art.
The exhibition has been applying on-site discounts since the 17th after the Korea Arts Management Service (KAMS) was selected for the "2025 On-site Admission Discount Support for Art Exhibitions" program. The program is hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Korea Arts Management Service (KAMS), with support from Arts Council Korea (ARKO). As the exhibition was selected for the admission fee support program, visitors to the show can receive a 3,000 won discount on site until the allocated budget is exhausted.
Gaudium Associates is partnering with SK Telecom to offer discounts. Running from Dec. 2 this year to Feb. 22 next year, the promotion offers a 20% admission discount to SKT T Membership members.
Gaudium Associates CEO Kim Dae-seong said, "We prepared various discount programs so that this exhibition, where you can experience major currents in Western art history in one place, becomes an open opportunity for more visitors."
Praise for the exhibition has continued. Robert Dawson, chair of the board of the San Diego Museum of Art, who recently visited Korea, said, "This exhibition is the best show that has presented the precious permanent collection of the San Diego Museum of Art in the most beautiful way in the world."
Art critic Park Woo-chan, who wrote the exhibition epilogue, noted, "A curation that, like this exhibition, shows important currents in Western art history in fine detail across diverse periods and Sajo Group is rare even in the history of exhibitions in Korea."
