The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said it will hold the 2025 second-half lodging sale festa winter edition with the Korea Tourism Organization from the 3rd to Dec. 7. Linked with the Korea Grand Festival, the event aims to boost winter domestic travel demand and revitalize regional tourism.
The lodging sale festa winter edition will cover accommodations outside the Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon metropolitan area. A 30,000 won discount voucher will apply to products priced at 70,000 won or more, and a 20,000 won voucher will apply to products priced below 70,000 won. The vouchers can be used at registered accommodations such as hotels, resorts, and pensions, but are excluded for day-use products or unregistered lodgings.
The vouchers will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 10 a.m. on the 3rd through participating online travel agencies (OTAs), limited to one per person. Issued coupons can be used for reservation and payment from 10 a.m. each day until 7 a.m. the following day, and will automatically expire if unused. However, those who do not use them can receive reissuance the next day.
Kim Geun-ho, director general for tourism industry policy at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST), said, "Thank you to the public for your enthusiastic interest in the 'fall edition' and the 'special disaster area edition,'" and added, "We hope the 'winter edition' lodging discount vouchers, distributed for about a month from Nov. 3, will increase winter domestic travel demand and contribute to revitalizing regional tourism and restoring the livelihood economy."
