The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced on the 26th that it will hold the '2025 Travel Expo' in Seoul's Gangnam at the SETEC from the 27th to the 30th in collaboration with the Korea Tourism Association.

Since its first event in 2004, the 'Travel Expo' has attracted over 2.2 million visitors, marking its 22nd edition this year as a representative domestic travel fair. This event will feature the theme 'Play travel, Replay regions,' with 120 agencies and travel businesses operating over 260 booths offering various travel information and related products showcasing the attractions from all over the country.

In particular, 18 breweries representing six regions will participate and promote unique experiential tourism such as traditional liquor making in a special 'Jutopia' hall set up in the second exhibition hall. Visitors will also have the chance to participate in dessert-making events conducted by renowned artisans. The Jutopia special hall is expected to offer a new appeal of local breweries not only to traditional liquor enthusiasts but also to travelers wanting to experience hidden attractions and gourmet culture of the region.

Various street performances, bubble shows for children, and diverse performances and interactive events that the whole family can enjoy, such as 'Golden Bell of My Country' and 'Theme Travel Flicking the Color Plate,' will also be held.

At this expo, a separate academic conference hall will be established in the third exhibition hall to discuss measures to revitalize domestic tourism. This includes the AI travel academic conference themed 'The Paradigm of the Tourism Industry Changing with AI,' following the successful completion of last year's remote work (workation) academic conference.

Vice Minister Jang Mi-ran noted, 'The Ministry has been actively conducting the 'Spring Travels' campaign and various discount events since March,' and added, 'I hope that this travel expo will allow everyone to find diverse travel products organized by local areas and plan distinctive spring trips to discover their own unique travel destinations in the regions.'
