On the 14th, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced that it, along with Arts Council Korea, will call for institutions and organizations to participate in the ‘2025 Humanities and Spirit Culture Social Expansion Project’ from the 19th to the 7th of next month.
This year's project scale is a total of 10 billion won and will be conducted in six areas: 'Humanities on the Road,' 'Wisdom School,' 'Youth Humanities Classroom,' 'Youth Humanities Experiment,' 'Middle-aged and Elderly Cultural Space,' and 'Humanities Video Content.'
Additionally, new social issue-solving humanities projects will be established, including a 'Humanities Healing Program' for digitally immersed youth and the 'Korean Clement Course' project supporting the rehabilitation and independence of inmates and the homeless.
The ministry will select excellent programs directly planned by local cultural foundations and public institutions starting from this year's call for proposals and will provide incentives for continuous support in the next project for the top 20% of evaluated outstanding cases.
