On the 17th, the distributor By4M Studio announced the confirmation of the film's release and unveiled the official poster.

"Victory" depicts the story of Korea's top Go legend Cho Hoon-hyun (Lee Byung-hun) challenging the status quo once more after losing a match against his disciple, driven by his innate competitive spirit. Directed by Kim Hyung-joo, known for "The Outlaws," the film is produced by Filmmakers of Moonlight, the studio behind "The Spy Gone North" and "The Outlaws."

The poster released on this day features Lee Byung-hun transformed into Korea's top Go legend Cho Hoon-hyun. Lee Byung-hun expressed the competitive nature of the Go master Cho Hoon-hyun.

On the other hand, Yoo Ah-in, who is another leading actor in "Victory" and is currently on trial for drug charges, could not be seen in the poster. Yoo Ah-in plays Lee Chang-ho, a disciple and rival of Cho Hoon-hyun in the film. Although he is a key character essential to the film's development, he has been excluded from the official poster and logline.

Yoo Ah-in was indicted in October 2023 for violations related to controlled substances. He was sentenced to one year in prison and a fine of 2 million won in the first trial held in September last year. The prosecution has requested a four-year prison sentence in the appellate court proceedings held in December of the same year. The second trial sentencing date is set for the 18th.
