The Netflix original series "Squid Game" season 2 rose to the top of the most-watched content worldwide just one day after its release.
According to FlixPatrol, an online content service ranking site, "Squid Game 2" ranked first in the Netflix institutional sector as of the previous day. Looking at the rankings by country, it achieved the top spot in a total of 92 countries, including the United States, France, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, and Turkey. It was recognized as the most-watched content in all but one of the 93 countries where FlixPatrol collects viewing data, excluding New Zealand.
Released on the 26th, "Squid Game" season 2 is a series about Seong Gi-hun (portrayed by Lee Jung-jae), who vows revenge and returns to participate in the games, and his intense battle with the Front Man (played by Lee Byung-hun), along with the real games that begin anew.
In the case of season 1, it entered the global top 10 of Netflix's institutional sector just two days after its release and claimed the number one spot after eight days. It subsequently maintained a position in the top 10 for a total of 106 days.
